Windshield Washer System Supplier Announces Expansion

May 10, 2010

Bowles Fluidics Corporation, the world’s largest producer of washer system components, announced today the expansion of its Fresnillo, Mexico assembly plant growing to more than 60,000sq.ft and the hiring of over 300 production associates.  These moves are the result of continued growth at the Maryland based plastics manufacturer who supply washer nozzles, hose assemblies and pumps to all the ‘Big 6’ domestic automakers.

To match the higher production capacity Bowles is also adding Application Engineers to its Detroit based support staff and Project Engineers at its Columbia Design headquarters.

Company President Eric Koehler notes, “Over the years, cost constraints have forced our customers to try to piece together windshield washer systems from numerous commodity suppliers based on who had the cheapest part. These expansions give us the scope to offer a complete washer system of “tuned elements”, optimized, designed and tested to work together to provide the best possible cleaning performance at the lowest possible cost”.

Each year Bowles Fluidics manufactures over 50 million washer system sub-assemblies and has production in the US, Mexico and licensees in Europe and Korea.
