Custom Spray Nozzles, Spray Nozzle Engineering, Custom Spraying
Computational fluid dynamic model of a fluidic circuit
Key features
- Spray pattern and flow rate customized to work with your product
- Quick prototyping
- Comprehensive testing and evaluation capabilities
- Works with higher viscosity fluids than competing nozzle technology
- System integration
Bowles Fluidics’ Advanced Products team treats each project as unique. We work with you to make sure that you get the performance that you want, customized for your application. Our spray nozzle engineering, custom spray nozzles, and custom spraying solutions are second to none. Here is how our process normally works.
Getting to know you
After you make the decision to contact us, we’ll follow up by phone or email to learn more about your project. It is helpful if you can share as much of the following as possible.
- What is your input pressure?
- What fluid are you using? If it is a custom fluid (like a household cleaner), we will probably need a sample.
- What are your performance specs? Flow rate? Droplet size? Spray pattern?
- Are there other constraints? Do you have a tight packaging envelope? Does the nozzle need to work with a check valve? Is it important not to have any overspray?
We are happy to enter into a non-disclosure agreement at whatever stage of the project you feel is appropriate.
Initial prototypes
Once we understand your project, we will send you one or more prototypes. If your application is similar to a product we already make, we may send you some molded samples within a few days. If a more customized sample is needed, our R&D engineers will design and build it using our CNC mills.
Customized design
Bowles will work alongside you throughout your design process. We can continue to provide machined parts for design refinements, prototype systems and consumer tests. If a large number of samples are required, we can build a prototype tool. If desired, we can assist with other aspects of your product design-- we are experienced at integrating fluid, mechanical and electrical systems, and we have extensive performance and environmental test facilities.
Production
When you are ready to kick off your part, we will provide the same tooling, molding, assembly and quality assurance services that have been valued by the automotive industry for over 30 years.
